The Mobile District Conference was held here January 21, 1979, with a large attendance.

March 6, 1979, the bricking of the classrooms was completed.  The contractor who laid the brick stated that this was one of the best built buildings he had worked on in many years.  He did not have to break a single brick for any of the four corners.  This was a tribute to the workmanship that went into the construction of the building.

Due to special offerings, the Women's Department holding gumbo suppers and rummage sales, the men sponsoring a fish fry, the classrooms are presently debt free.  This is a true testimony of God working amongst His people.
